Language Speaking Skills

Of the four main skills in language learning, speaking is often felt by learners to be the most important, but the most difficult to get right.

It is also extremely difficult to improve unless you can get feedback. Video is an ideal way to get a clear view on how you speak and where you can improve so you can quickly make those changes for the next time.

Students are using VEO to improve their language skills by recording themselves in their speaking activities or in the conversations they have with others for quick and detailed feedback. Here’s how it works.

Record language skills

Capturing skills on video is an opportunity for learners to see themselves perform the most difficult language skills. Students are empowered to record themselves practising their language skills to identify strengths and weaknesses.

Video feedback

Using VEO, students can upload their videos, tag key moments with questions or comments, and share the video with others for feedback on aspects like their vocabulary, grammar and fluency.

Show progress

Videos are saved and can be re-visited any time for reflection or reminders of feedback received from others. Videos can even be tagged for assessment demonstrating real evidence of progress.
